Flower gardening is one of the most difficult form of gardening one can pick up. This is because flower gardening will requires a lot more planning, maintenance and knowledge about plants and seeds as compared to other form of gardening. It is not as simple as planting the seeds and sprinkling water, while waiting for it to grow on its own.
The main purpose of a flower garden is to be able to showcase them when they blossom; therefore planning is required to really get the beautiful garden layout that you want. Thus you need to consider various factors such as the height of the plants, shades, and how you can effectively water them without doing too much at the same time.
You also need to have a basic understanding of the various types of flowers you intend to plant, you need to know if they can actually stand living near other type of plants or if they will die, as well as how often should you water them without withering them.
That being said, flower gardening can be very satisfying once you start seeing them blossom! It is also during this time that the maintenance of your garden is crucial, as during this time you’ll start noticing a significant increase of bugs around your flowers. They will destroy your flowers, taking a bite at the pretty petals whenever they can.
One way to ward off these insects and bugs is through usage of chemicals, however chemicals are always dangerous and as such you want to seek advice from your gardening center about the type of chemicals that you can use to safely do so. It might destroy your pretty flower if you are not using it properly.
Remember to always be careful when you are handling with chemicals, you want to read the labels and understand it before you even start using. Keep an eye out for any pets in your neighborhood, improper use of chemicals might even kill them!
